Joe Wade Moffett,
49, passed away in Houston, Texas on Friday, August 19th, 2005.
He was born on September 26th, 1955 in Naples, Texas.
Joe graduated from Smiley High School in 1974 and served in the United States Marine
Corps and received an Honorable Discharge in 1975.
He was preceded in death by his sister Anita Moffett-Ballard (9/25/1961-2/22/2003)
and nephew Eric Willis (12/31/1978-5/28/1988) and is survived by his parents
Jeanette & Raymond Moffett of Houston, Texas; brothers Donald
Ray Moffett & wife Sharon of Cleveland, Texas and Bruce Alan Moffett of Houston, Texas;
sisters Karen J. Willis & husband William Sr. of Shepherd, Texas and Brenda S. Harbour of
Cleveland, Texas; nieces & nephews: Sarah, Melissa, Katie, Andrew, Brian Keith, Alisha,
Amy, Rachel, and Shelby; as well as many other relatives & friends.
Funeral Services were held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, August 29th, 2005, in the VA Chapel
at the Houston
National Cemetery with Military Honors. Viewing was immediately before the service
in the VA Chapel.
Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
