John “Jack” William Prisbylla, age 52, died peacefully at his Spring, Texas home on the morning of August 13th, 2005. With him were his wife and best friend for over 32 years Sharon, daughters Anna, Katie and Bethany, son-in-law Chad Bingaman (Bethany) and granddaughter Audrey.

Raised in Amsterdam Ohio, Jack graduated in 1971 from Springfield High School and in 1975 graduated from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). While an employee of NTW, Jack relocated his family to Lexington Woods in Spring where neighbors quickly became extended family. Shortly thereafter he developed a love of backpacking in West Texas and bicycling and canoeing in East Texas. Jack enjoyed a wide variety of music and outdoor home projects and could often be found in his garage (his refuge from a houseful of females) doing both.

Jack was most recently a valued employee of Horn Sales and Marketing. Prior employment includes The Black Forest Inn, NTW, Grazak Food Service, and Crossmark. All of these opportunities provided Jack with memorable experiences and lifelong friends.

Additional surviving family members include Jack’s parents Walter and Sophie, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Larry Davis, parents-in-law Donald and Lois Coleman, sister-in-law Debi Roush (Bobby), brothers-in-law Mike (Kim) and John Coleman, nephews Neil, Aaron, Mark, Josh and Justin, nieces Lisa and Jodi, aunts, uncles and cousins. Jack’s extensive family of friends were also a very important part of his life.

A Memorial Service followed by reception was held on Saturday, August 20th at 11:45 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, 22800 Aldine Westfield, Spring, TX 77373. In lieu of flowers, please consider the support of the following: The Nature Conservancy, St. James the Apostle Catholic Church, Houston Hospice, or Colon Cancer Research.

Jack’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and staff of the following offices: Drs. Choksi, Chen, Ahmad, Pacha and Lykke for their excellent care and guidance.
