Don't grieve for me now, for now I'm free, I'm following the path God laid for me, I took His hand when I heard Him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way, I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much, good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, He set me free.

Kenneth Victone Lewis, 64, passed away in Houston, Texas on Saturday, June 18th, 2005. He was born on October 23rd, 1940 in Manchester, Jamaica to Doris & Herbert Lewis. Kenneth was a member of the Houston International Church of God in Humble, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Lewis and is survived by his wife of 38 years, Louise; daughter Kay & her husband Michael; sons Keith & his wife Laquette, Kirk & his companion, Anthony & his wife Gwen, Delton & his wife Coretta, Owen & his wife, Conroy & his wife Yvonne, and Leon & his fiancé; mother Doris Lewis; sisters Veda & her husband Omri and Anite; brother Lloyd and Barrington; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews; as well as many other relatives & friends. A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Friday, June 24th, 2005, from 4-6 PM at the Houston International Church of God located at 15030 Marine Road, Humble, Texas 77396, phone number (281) 441-9503. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 30th, 2005, at the Steer Town New Testament Church of God Cemetery in Steer Town, St. Ann's, Jamaica with interment following. Kenneth will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
