Lana M. (Monroe) Devers, 59, was born on October 16th, 1945 in Waco, Texas and entered into eternal rest on September 26th, 2005 in Houston, Texas. In spite of many health problems, she lived life to its fullest as a daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend.
Lana volunteered at The Woman's Center. She opened her heart for many people in need, both friends and strangers. Lana was a resident of both Waco and Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents Katherine Monroe Thomas & Calvin Monroe and step-daughter Tiffany Devers.
The cherished wife of Royce Devers for 20 years, Lana is also survived by her Dad, Harold R. Thomas; by her brothers Ray Thomas & wife Debbie and Chris Thomas & wife Rhonda; her children Richard Lathrop and Rhea Lathrop Danna & husband Johnny; her grandchildren Ashley Lathrop Rodriguez & husband Robert, Megan Lathrop, David Danna, and Kenneth Danna; and a host of other friends and family.
The family received friends and relatives from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 29th, 2005 at Aldine Funeral Chapel. A Graveside Service followed by interment was held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, September 30th, 2005, at Huffman Cemetery which is located at 26315 F.M. 2100 in Huffman, Texas.
Lana will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
