Ralph Bandy France, 85, passed away at home in Houston, Texas on Thursday, November 10th, 2005. He was born on September 23rd, 1920 in Mullinsville, Kansas to Eunice Latham and Floyd France. Ralph served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received an Honorable Discharge for his service.
Ralph was a long-time member of Memorial Baptist Church; a 50-year Mason; Past Master, Grand Lodge of Texas AF&AM; and a current member of the Albert J. DeLange Masonic Lodge #1403. A dedicated husband an father, known for his integrity, Ralph was also a well-known mechanical superintendent who worked on many Houston buildings, including the Astrodome.
Ralph was preceded in death by both parents and his grandson Steve Leone. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Ozell R. France of Houston, Texas; 4 children: Ty Leone & husband Tony, Sr. of Powhatan, Louisiana, Ken Anderson, Sr. & wife Charlotte of Grand Cain, Louisiana, Cathy Lazrine & husband Tommy of Houston, Texas, and Debra Elkin & husband bob of Houston, Texas; 12 grandchildren: Jennifer, Tonette, Tony Jr., Traci, Ken Jr., Elizabeth, Edwin, Melinda, Megan, Brian, Rebecca, and Stephanie; 15 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Calling hours were on Saturday, November 12th, 2005, from 6-8 P.M. with a Masonic Funeral Service on Sunday, November 13th, 2005, at 2:00 P.M. at O.T. Allen & Son Funeral Home at 703 East San Antonio Street in Alto, Texas, phone 936-858-4111. Burial will be at Lynch's Chapel Cemetery in Alto, Texas.
Ralph will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
