When I must leave you for a little while, please do not grieve and shed wild tears, and hug your sorrow to you through the years.
But start out bravely with a gallant smile; and, for my sake and in my name, live on and do all things the same, feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each waking hour in useful ways. Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer, and I in turn will comfort you and hold you near; and never, never be afraid to die, for I am waiting for you in the sky! (Helen Steiner Rice)

Tammy Ann Jurica Stoner, 44, passed away in Tyler, Texas on Sunday, October 23rd, 2005. She was born on March 29th, 1961 in Houston, Texas to Ann Tony Ann Drab & Alfonse Emil Jurica, Sr.

Tammy loved traveling (by car or by air), listening to Elvis or Trace Adkins, and always seemed to be ‘on the go'. She especially enjoyed gambling at casinos and those who knew her all agree that she was very ‘good' at losing money! Tammy was the kindest and most generous person most people ever knew, giving unselfishly of herself. She would do anything for anybody at anytime.

The love of Tammy's life was her daughter. She was very active at Tara's school, doing everything from volunteering, to baking, to being involved in the PTA. Tammy was well-known for her special talent in creating the most beautiful and delicious custom cakes.

Tammy's constant companion was her cherished chihuahua Charlotte; but her best buddy was her beloved brother Junior. Tammy & Junior had a special relationship and were inseparable in activities such as fishing, gambling and dancing. (It's a good thing that their parents didn't listen to Junior when he asked for Tammy to be ‘traded in for a little brother' when she was only 3 weeks old!)

Tammy was preceded in death by her father Alfonse "Alfo" E. Jurica, Sr.; both sets of grandparents; and 10 aunts & uncles. She is survived by her husband Michael E. Stoner of Houston, Texas; daughter Tara Michelle Stoner of Houston, Texas; mother Ann Jurica of Houston, Texas; brother Al "Junior" Jurica of Houston, Texas; aunts Evelyn "Tete Evie" Jurica of Houston, Texas, Leona Savoy & husband Edward of Flour Bluff, Texas, Mildred Hroch & husband Emil of Austwell, Texas, and Lydia Drab of Houston, Texas; her 'adopted' sister Paula Martin Buchanan & husband Wade of Centerville, Ohio; many cousins; as well as many other relatives and friends, including her "best friend", Charlotte.

Visitation was from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 28th, 2005, at Aldine Funeral Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass was said at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 29th, 2005, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 501 Tidwell in Houston, Texas with Father Nicolas Harding officiating.

Tammy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
