Most glass and ceramic pieces are rounded... creating a problem when applying a flat decal. DECAL SOFTENER is formulated to react with the decal coating, allowing it to ease and stretch over the curvature of a piece. A small amount of DECAL SOFTENER is added to the water that a decal soaks in before application. Add slightly more or less DECAL SOFTENER to the water depending upon the amount of stretch required. Easy to follow instruction are included on each bottle. This enables the decorator to have more flexibility in the use of decals. DECAL SOFTENER is also used in some decal decorating techniques, such as Decal Majolica (applying decals to unfired glaze), applying decals on unfired (bisque) porcelain, and applying a decal to non-fired craft items (candles, decorative soap).
