Points To Ponder!
"And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven"
(Luke 21:11)
There was an eclipse on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles in 1996 (Sept.27, evening before)---AND, there are four more eclipses occurring in 1997.
The first was a total eclipse of the sun, visible from Siberia and Mongolia on March 9, 1997, the first Day of God's sacred year .
The second, was a partial umbral eclipse of the moon; visible from western Europe, Africa, North and South America, on the First Day of Unleavened Bread, March 23, 1997, (after sunset), at the beginning of the Spring Holy Days.
The third will be a partial eclipse of the sun; visible from Australia and New Zealand, on September 1, 1997, the beginning of Tishri/Trumpets .
The fourth will be a total eclipse of the Moon; visible from Asia, Africa and Europe, on the First Day of the Feast of Tabernacles, Sept. 16, 1997, (after sunset).
The above Holy Days are calculated without using the Hebrew calendar and the Postponements!
North Americans were treated to a spectacular show in the heavens in the Eastern sky on the evening of March 23, 1997. There were three participants in the astronomical show: an eclipse of the Moon; Mars appearing about 12 degrees above the moon during the eclipse, and the Comet Hale-Bopp continuing it's twice daily trek through the North Western skies.
Although the eclipse of the moon was only 92% of the moon's diameter, it was still a head-turner nonetheless, with a dramatically darkened and reddened moon appearing to wear a white cap. Seemingly to bring attention to the eclipse, planet Mars was brilliant about 12 degrees above the moon. Not to be outdone, Comet Hale-Bopp made it's routine nightly show in the North Western sky! It was a busy evening!
The next eclipse of the moon is on the night of September 16, 1997 (the evening of the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles). This will be a total eclipse and centered on Asia. (Sky & Telescope, March 1997, page 82).
IS ALL THIS COINCIDENCE, OR IS GOD TELLING US SOMETHING?!
