Getting better? Or alarming? Are we beginning to see the prophecy of Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 being fulfilled? Who do you believe in the news media? The liberal reporters of today? Or Jesus Christ? </div> <div> Let's refresh our memory by reading in Matthew 24 what Christ reported would be "the beginning of sorrows." "You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilence, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows" (Matt 24:6-8). All these end time events Christ predicted 2000 years ago are in the news today! </div> <div> FAMINE, PESTILENCE, EARTHQUAKES </div> <div> "Famine," talking about an extreme scarcity of food! "Pestilence" a contagious or infectious disease that is destructive to life. "Earthquakes in divers places." Earthquakes this year has killed 20,000 people around the world with many thousands more left injured and homeless. Headlines and news print this year read's " From Colombia to India, Turkey to Taiwan, Mexico, and now California, 1999 has been the year of the earthquakes!!" In January of this year 250 were killed in Colombia, The worst was in north western Turkey, four month ago, when more than16,000 died in the densely populated area around Ilmit. Just recently 550 more were added to that list of dead from another recent quake there. In September, 52 were killed in Athens, Greece and 4000 died in other areas around the world. The cost of repairing the physical damage caused by earthquakes last year (1998) was 93 billion dollars. This years figures they say could be higher!_ </div> <div> HAVE YOU NOTICED HOW THE WEATHER IS CHANGING ? </div> <div> Hurricane Lenny---A powerful and late in the season hurricane traveling west to east, crossed over Puerto Rico, St Thomas, St Croix leaving many power lines down and roads under water. Hurricane Irene---recently flooded the state of North Carolina, 9000 were killed in India from their worst cyclone, in years, 18,000 villages were also destroyed. The State of Washington reported a record snow fall last winter of "95 feet." They said lightning is rare in Seattle, but they had thousands of strikes hit the city in mid August. Las Vegas had more than 8000 lightning strikes causing many fires and said half the average years rainfall flooded the town in a single afternoon! North central Iowa had record breaking floods in the middle of July. The state received its entire annual rain fall in just a few hours. </div> <div> Residents of New England and mid Atlantic States, hoped rain fall this year would end their drought, they have had little or no rain creating the most intense drought since records have been kept in the region! An estimated 25 million trees were flattened by high winds in Minnesota. Hail fell at 100 miles per hour in several Southern States. The first tornado death on record in the state of Utah occurred August 11th when an f 2 tornado struck Salt Lake City! The Salton sea, the largest lake in California reported 8 million fish died in a single August day. Dead fish covered an area, 3 miles wide and 10 miles long. It is recorded as a result of the "Pacific Ocean Oscillation." These are just a few recorded weather reports that's been brought to our attention recently. You probably have heard of many more! </div> <div> WARS AND RUMORS OF WARS </div> <div> Let me ask you have you heard of any "wars and rumors of war, or nation raising against nation" lately? </div> <div> Do any of these names sound familiar ? --- East Timor--- India ---- Pakistan ----Chechenea---- Grozny----North and South Korea----Israel and P.L.A.. Russia and Cheynez? To name a few that come to mind. </div> <div> In Ezekiel 37, we read of a day coming when a covenant of peace which God has promised His people will become a reality! "Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore" (Eze 37:26). Continuing with this thought over in Leviticus 26:6, "I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid." God has promised to give peace to His people so that man can retire at night without the fear of being attacked and having their home broken into. David adds to this thought "But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace" (Psa 37:11). This rings especially true when sin and sinners are no more!! We are reminded by God's inspired servant Isaiah, "Violence shall no more be heard in the land, wasting nor destruction within the borders; but you shalt call the walls salvation, and the gates praise" (Isa 60:18). Principles of brotherly love, benevolence, and mutual consideration will be the rule! "The people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land for ever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified" (Isa 60:21). Righteousness is the personal goal for each one of God's people! Sorrow will be no more because there will be no more sin. While we are given a vision of the coming time of peace, blessings and perfection, the world must pass through the Valley of judgment in order that the earth may be cleansed of all its corruption. Isaiah declared, that the earth is polluted by its inhabitants because they transgressed God's Laws, Statutes, and judgments! Because of all this, It is impossible to proclaim Peace. </div> <div> FEAR-THE PIT-AND THE SNEAR </div> <div> Isaiah 24: makes a statement that encompasses this whole experience through which the world must pass--- "fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth." "And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake" (Isa 24:17-18). Before analyzing this verse and applying its meaning, let us note carefully the reference to the "Windows which are opened" The only other time that these "Windows" are referred to as "being opened" is recorded in Genesis 7. The account of the deluge that swept away all the inhabitants of the world!! This deluge was in the time of Noah and with the exception of his family, all the living perished!! "In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened" (Gen 7:11). The Hebrew word translated "windows" in this verse is Strong's # 699 Arubbah. Young's Concordance says it means "Woven works." The Companion Bible translates it "Network." The New Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew English Lexicon translates it, "Sluice." "Sluices in the sky opened, by through which rain pours destructively". Arubbah is not the same word for "Window" that Noah used to let the dove out of the ark. That word in Hebrew is Challown Strong's # 2474 (Window). </div> <div> Moffatt in his rendering uses arubbah in both Isaiah and Genesis calling it "sluices" "For the sluices in high heaven are opened." The example of these heavenly sluices that brought about the deluge in Noah's day will according to Isaiah bring about seismic disturbances and the shaking of the earth again as this age come to a close as when this deluge of Noah day ended. The account states, that the "windows of heaven were stopped." "The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained" (Gen 8:2). </div> <div> The opening of these windows in Noah's day expressed the coming of Judgment upon a world's people who were filled with corruption and violence. We read of this account in Genesis 6. " God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart" (Gen 6:5-6). </div> <div> Isaiah 24:17-18, is referring to a time coming when these windows will again be opened and divine Judgment will be poured out upon the inhabitants of the earth, because they have once more corrupted their ways. This time, instead of a deluge of water it is to be the "Fear, the pit and the snare" which will afflict them. </div> <div> The Amplified Bible reads: "Terror, and the pit of destruction and the snare are upon you inhabitants of the earth." </div> <div> The Moffatt Bible: "Panic, and pitfall and snares await you of dwellers upon the earth." </div> <div> Farrar Fenton renders this and the next verse as: "Confusion, and the trap and snare, are on the people of our Land. And they who fly from terror's voice, fall in the trap, and lassoes catch." </div> <div> The use of the word: Terror, Panic, Confusion, and Fear denotes alarm bordering on a overwhelming paralyzing fear of danger, consternation, and worry. Reading in the New Testament we find that Christ Himself declared "Fear" would be in evidence as this present age draws to its close. "Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken" (Luke 21:26). The reason man's hearts are failing them, is because of fear that the powers of heaven shall be Shaken. </div> <div> In "Documentary Studies" Volume 3 page 326 explains "The power of heaven shall be shaken" this way: "The atom is a universe in miniature, with its own central sun, planets, and heaven. In the splitting of the atom (literally the Power) meaning the violence or strength of heaven is shaken. Meaning tossed or stirred up as by an earthquake or cyclone. The atomic or nuclear bomb will produce a cyclonic effect as well as a great heat and light comparable to that of the sun. No doubt its earthquake effect will be increased as man perfects it construction and use. This, then may be a contributing factor in the coming, predicted, world- shaking Earthquake to which all the prophets refer as the shaking of the powers of heaven." </div> <div> FLEE FROM THE NOISE </div> <div> Looking now at the second phase of Isaiah's inspired words from God, "It shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit" (Isa. 24:18). Noise may be translated Voice, Proclamation, Sound or Thunder, indicating advance notice concerning the Evil effects of the fear. </div> <div> Do you know friends, relatives, or neighbors who express fear when talking about the Year 2000 and all the changes that are going to be taking place, with the "Y2K" computer problems? Today computers and computer chips are involved in every aspect of our daily living. They are used in our: telephones, automobiles, household appliances, power plants, traffic signals, train traffic uses them, airplane travel, bus travel, boat travel, banks, super market, hospitals, natural gas plants, sewage plants, water ways--- dams, governments offices, military defense weapons, radios, TV's, Etc, etc, etc. </div> <div> Never before in our history has the entire world been threatened by just a single disruptive event at one time. Except for the lone exception of Noah's flood. </div> <div> We are told by the liberal media and President Bill Clinton, "That the White House has some good news for Americans as the clock ticks to the new year: the lights won't go out, telephone won't quit ringing, and nuclear bombs won't accidently detonate because of the year 2000 computer bug. The report shows that our hard work in this country is paying off and while there is more to do I expect we will experience no major national breakdown as the result of the year 2000 date changes," President Clinton said Wednesday Nov. 10th at a new conference at the White House. "Clinton also said, he's confident that the government programs, such as air traffic controllers and social security will work exactly as they should." "We think the basic infrastructure in the country is going to be in very good shape, banking, finances, telecommunications, electrical power, air and rail transportation." Who do you believe? The liberal media and Bill Clinton </div> <div> or our Creator Jesus Christ. It is not surprising to hear fear in people's voices, when talking about terrorist threats of chemical and biological warfare, threat of nuclear bombs. Fear that China and Russia's computers driven missiles are not Y2K compliant and are aimed at the U.S.A. Here in the United States you might hear fear in peoples voices when speaking of China being in control of the Panama Canal. These kinds of fears have caused many to try and seek refuge in out of the way places like Colorado, Montana, Wyoming or maybe the Dakotas, far away from highly populated areas. There is no physical place on this earth where people of this world and its evil ways can hide from the destruction to come. Remember what Isaiah said: "And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise (meaning voices--- proclamation--- announcements ) of the fear shall fall into the pit" (Isa 24:18). </div> <div> THOSE WHO FEAR SHALL FALL INTO THE PIT </div> <div> Isaiah is indicating advance notice to those who fear shall fall into the pit--- a Hell Hole! They are going to come out of one Calamity and fall into a another Calamity. </div> <div> With peace being a popular buzz word today, and having knowledge of the Nuclear Bomb, and Chemical and Biological Warfare, people are going to start looking and putting more confidence in Globalization and "The New World Order" for their protection. At the close of World War II the Untied Nations was formed, announcing that their purpose was to Establish world peace and to centralize Governments for the purpose of exercising complete control over all nations. But, what the Nations and their Leaders have designated as the only hope for World Peace, Isaiah 28:15 states, is in reality the pit!! That it is a "Covenant with death and hell." "Because you have said, we have made a Covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves" (Isa 28:15). </div> <div> SHALL BE TAKEN IN THE SNARE </div> <div> Our liberal leaders, giving support to Globalization of the One World Order has encouraged the very conflict that they had hoped to escape. The thundering sounds of peoples fear have driven them into the pit of the One World Order. Isaiah declares they will make an attempt to come up out of the pit, but will have the following results: "And he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare" (Isa 24:18). The distinction between a trap and a snare is: A trap may be suddenly seen, but to late to escape entrapment! A snare is a more subtle way, catching its victims un-aware. </div> <div> Part of the tribulation is closely associated with the snare phase of the Judgment. Christ had this aspect in mind. He knows the focus and attention of Israel would be on the physical vanity filled, cares of this life! He warned: "Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting,(meaning to have surplus---excess--- overindulgence) and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth" (Luke 21:34-35). </div> <div> It has already been pointed out the significance of Isaiah's reference to the "opening of the windows in heaven," indicating disaster when God brings forth the weapons of His indignation. All the prophets indicate at this end time a magnitude of Heavenly signs will be accompanied by Earthquakes and Volcanic Convulsion that will be seen and felt. "Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty" (Isa 13:6). "The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at His presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. Who can stand before His indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by Him. The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him. But with an overrunning flood He will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue His enemies" (Nahum 1:5-8). "For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath have I spoken, surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at My presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground" (Eze 38:19-20). </div> <div> WALL OF UNTEMPERED MORTER </div> <div> It is very likely that the great tribulation accompanied by earths upheavals will bring about the destruction of the pack that's made with the pit. United Nations and NATO and the Globalization of the One World Order. </div> <div> Ezekiel declares, the wall that's built with untempered morter, which the One World Order is built will be thrown down. "Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, peace; (this is what the United Nations said in 1945) and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others (like NATO) daubed it with untempered morter: Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not be said unto you, where is the daubing wherewith you have daubed it? Therefore thus saith the Lord God; I will even rend it with a stormy wind in My fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in Mine anger, and great hailstones in My fury to consume it. So will I break down the wall that ye have daubed with untempered morter, and bring it down to the ground, so that the foundation thereof shall be discovered, and it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in the midst thereof: and you shall know that I am the Lord" (Eze 13:10-14). </div> <div> These are the end time developments that is involved in the Snare that will overtake mankind. Few in the world today are ready to face the changes that is going to demonstrate the Power and Might of Our God. But soon the Nations will be moving to leave the pit to awaken to the insidious evil of giving support to the Globalization of the One World Order, and then!
