Building a Dream of the Kingdom of God

The dream of being in God's Kingdom has been a goal of all who have been called of God. The Kingdom has been the gold at the end of the rainbow for all of us. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matt. 6:33). This goal is a reality if we keep the proper perspective.
Let us go on in strength and power to build this dream. A dream with the hope, faith and love that comes only from the Spirit of God. Let us build the Godly love that will carry us into the future without bitterness and regret! God has shown us the way. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6).
Strength and power to endure to the end of this age can only be obtained by being faithful to God's word. Being faithful in obedience to His statutes, laws and judgments. Where does this faith come from? Faith comes in doing God's will. Faith comes from using God's Holy Spirit as a tool for life. The word Faith is Strong's #4102 pistis (pis'-tis); from 3982; persuasion, i.e. credence; moral conviction (the truthfulness of God) KJV-- assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.
Our prayer must be, "Lord teach me that I may know of the way where I should go; for to Thee I lift my soul, set me free from all my foes. Unto Thee I flee to hide me, teach me now Thy will to do; For Thou Eternal, art my God, Lead me by Thy spirit good! Bring my soul from trouble and for Thy name's sake quicken me; Lead me to the land of refuge, and for Thy mercy's sake, cut off all my foes, destroy them, they which do afflict my soul; O Thou Eternal, righteous God, for I am Thy servant Lord" (Psalm 143, written as a song by Dwight Armstrong).
Only through service to our Eternal loving God, can we truly find the peace and happiness that is needed in life today. We can run from our responsibilities, but we cannot run from ourselves. We can ask God to make us an instrument of peace to serve Him. We can ask for help to sow the seeds of love, where hatred has formed. We can pray for pardon when injury has happened. We can ask for faith when doubt appears and frustration keeps us from doing God's service. We can look to hope when we are in despair and we can seek light when darkness of this world swallows us up. We can ask for joy when sadness overtakes us. We can console others when they need consoling, we can understand when understanding is need to help others gain truth, we can give mercy when mercy is required. And the greatest gift of all is love, when love is needed even if undeserved. The Apostle Paul said the greatest gift is love. "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity [love], it profiteth me nothing. Charity [Love] suffereth long, and is kind; charity [love] envieth not; charity [love] vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity [love] never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away" (1 Cor. 13:1-8).
Until this world learns that it must put God first and to love Him with all our heart and soul and mind, there will be no real peace. "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets" (Matt. 22:37-40).
The Apostle John in his letter has taught us that we must live a way of love. We must walk the walk, not just talk the talk! "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment. And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us" (1 John 3:18-24).
Again we are reminded, "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us. Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in Him, and He in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love Him, because He first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from Him, That he who loveth God love his brother also" (1 John 4:7-21).
The Kingdom of God will never be a reality to those who do not practice Godly love and mercy to their fellow man. Godly love does not cause others to lose faith in TRUTH. Truth is God's way, not the ways of man. "O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and Thy glory above all the earth" (Psa. 108:1,4-5).
We have been called to be servants! We have been called to show love and mercy! We are not called to be judges of God's people. "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again" (Matt. 7:1-2). We each must come before the judgment seat of the Eternal and Christ will judge each persons for their own choices and actions. "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works" (Rev. 20:13).
Thankfully God is more merciful than man! He is merciful and forgiving, He forgives and forgets. "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more" (Heb. 8:12).
The Kingdom of God will be a kingdom of love, faith and mercy. The Kingdom of God is before us.
Don't stop dreaming of His Kingdom!
