Miss Lockie Lytle,1

					   Dear Cousin,
Your letter containing the picture was received a few days ago,
and Grandma2 was so charmed with Aunt Millie’s
3 picture that she just
sat and looked at it, and looked at it, and thought it looked so sweet
and good that she felt like she wanted to kiss it. It does her so much
good to have it, and she sends ever so many thanks for it.
Cousin Newton4 used to write to Grandma about how well he
enjoyed going to see Aunt Millie and she says she don’t wonder at it
for she knows she is just as good as she can be by the looks of the
picture. And she thinks it would do her a world of good if she could
just see her as well as all you children, and she sends you all her love
over and over again.
Our family is just the same now as yours, Grandma, Uncle
Will, and I. I will be ten years old in March.
My school closed just before Christmas and I am taking Music
lessons during vacation. We are very sorry to hear of Cousin’s
William’s5 failing health, we would like ever so much to have him
come and see us before he goes back to Tenn.
We have been having some very cold weather the coldest it has
been for years in Cal. We have more snow and harder freezing than
we have had for 15 years, but it has moderated now and is raining. All
the snow is gone.
I am feeling rather sad now because my dearest playmate is
going to move away. My half Brother is talking about going to old
Mexico and I am feeling bad about that.
Uncle Dock is talking about going to Klondyke in the spring
and Grandma says she wouldn’t be surprised if he did.
Uncle Tom and Uncle Isaac both live in Los Angles. Uncle
Isaac was up to see us this fall.
					With love to all
						I will close.
				Please write soon.
			       Your loving Cousin,
