The following information compiled from family letters and public records. By 1850 Sally is a widow living in Ray County Missouri. She is found on the 1850 census with the following five children and on the 1860 census with only John in the house. On that census she is listed as a
"hotel keeper" and John is a "clerk". A letter witten by her husband's
brother, Isaac, in 1856 reports: John's widow Sally, as we call her, is keeping a tavern in Ray County.

- Andrew Jackson b1836+- in TN. In 1853 he went to CA and had not been
heard from by 1856. [per his Uncle Isaac's 1856 letter]
- Sarah E b1839+- in MO. By 1856 she has married a man from KY and they
have gone there to live. [per her Uncle Isaac's 1856 letter]
