MILLY ANN HALE LYTLE
1814 - 1903
Milly Ann was a widow for over 60 years
She raised her children and grandchildren.
This picture was made at her 89th birthday
celebration. She died the next day.

Milly Ann is the one in the center with the hat. (5th from the left in
next to the back row.) This family name is recorded in Able and Milly Ann's
bible and on Able's headstone as "LITLE". During the 1850's the name
begins to appear spelled "LYTLE" and that spelling prevailed.

- William Able b1842 in Tn d1863 in VA He was a Confederate Soldier captured
at Murfreesboro. After being exchanged, he was on his way home when he fell
ill and died at Farmville, VA. Never married.
