Parker, the dog.....
I am proud of
all my dogs and love them dearly, but I am exceptionally proud of Parker's
accomplishments for such a young dog.
While his looks, movement, and confirmation, are to be admired, his
temperament is something that I would clone over and over again if I could.
This boy is an absolute love.
Puppies can walk up to him and take a bone out of his mouth without a fuss,
They climb all over him and bite and chew on him and he loves every minute
of it.
With humans, he has to be one of the cuddliest dogs I have ever come across.
He is an exceptionally nice looking dog, please take a browse through his
photo album.
A Star is Born....
Born
September 12, 1999, Parker was one of a pair of lucky puppies that survived
from a litter of 12. The dam was CH. Zardal Leading Lady owned by Audrey Thomas of Zardal Kennels, Mt. Morris,
NY. Mandy finished her championship in the states at the age of 13
months.
The sire was CH. Moon Song's Top Gun,
known as Maverick, owned by
Crosswynd's Kennels. We repeated that breeding later and again
she produced 12 puppies and all were just fine. Dillinger, Parker's
little brother is from that repeat breeding.
In the Show Ring......
Parker has been a great dog to show. His demeanor
outside and inside the ring has been great. I often find the need to exercise him before showing because his joy at
life in general can sometimes lead to entertaining moments in the ring.
Here are some of Parker's accomplishments:
 |
His first weekend out was as a 8 month old at a 4-day show,
he won
5 points toward his American championship. 2 points the first day,
the next 2 days were majors where he took reserve and a 3 point
major under Judge Mrs. Betty Alderman the last day.
|
 |
He finished his Canadian Championship from the Puppy Class
with multiple Best of Breeds. The final points for his championship
were won with a GROUP 3 against adult dogs of the Working Group.
He also won multiple Group 1's in the Puppy Working Group.
|
 |
Parker is also a Grand Sweepstakes Winner in the states.
In July of 2000, under the breeder judge Terry Sewell (Kiwalik Kennels) he
won Grand Sweeps at the Greater Houston Alaskan Malamute Club.
|
 |
He finished him American Championship in December of 2001.
He won two 4 point majors at the prestigious Cleveland Classic Cluster of
dog shows sponsored by Iams. His final win was at the Great Lakes
Regional Specialty for Alaskan Malamutes under Judge Charlotte McGowan.
