Safety at Arlington is still going strong and all of us are very proud. As of Friday, May 10, we have gone 570 days without an incident. Everyone at Arlington is to be commended for their Safe work. Our heavy business at Arlington and with construction still going on at General Motors, the people at Arlington are doing an outstanding job.
Not only is our Safety going very well, so are other things. I try to visit at least five customers each month, and to this date this year, and also last year, nearly all the customers have given us top grades in our service. One customer survey that Marketing and Sales put out with General Motors, had the Arlington service rated the tope of anything on the list.
Our numbers are also good in Work Order reporting, ATCS reporting, and USES. Some of the people at Arlington watch these numbers and take offense when they see their job did not have good numbers, then they begin asking why, by their doing this, we have found some problems that needed fixing and some other problems we are still working on to help it. Some of these problems are hard to see and hard to catch, but with a lot of eyes working on it and watching it, they eventually come to light and then work can begin to get them corrected.
But not only at Arlington, but the entire Fort Worth Service Unit is doing very good in Safety, I have now been here 37 years and I can say that in all my years, I don't ever recall Safety being as good as it has been in the last nine to ten months. Each person on this service unit is to be commended for what they are doing to keep it a Safe place to work.
While Mr. Garrison, our Superintendent, has authorized incentives for our Safety which is great, I sincerely believe the biggest reward is the one you are giving yourself by working safe and keeping yourself safe. Good job, keep it up.
