Funeral was held Friday June 28 at Mount Olivet Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Don was born December 21, 1932 in Fort Worth. He was a 23-year member of the United Transportation Union and a member of the Parker Junior High Reunion Committee.
Don lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday. Preceeding him in death were his parents, Cecil and Lois Stobaugh; brother, Tommy Stobaugh; sister, Merle Cooper; and son, Bobby C. Bates.

Don is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Stobaugh of Fort Worth; sons, Don E. Stobaugh Jr of Arlington and Timothy Scott Van Vorst of Fort Worth;; daughters, DeAndra Lei Smith of Watauga and Terri Lynn Wilson of Fort Worth; sister, Cecilia Slaughter of Burleson and 12 grandchildren.
