July 7, Manager Larry Cormack recognizes the crew of OCACI-03, W.D. Hunter, Larry Kouns and Paul Hunter for their handling of a Hot Box at Paradise. They moved the car 4 miles to a road crossing where the mechanical Department could work on car. Larry awarded the crew with gift certificates.

July 5, Manager Paul Harryman recognizes Switchman A.L. Head III. While working a dodger, he found a section of track at Great Southwest broken rail and poor ties. Gene Garrett awarded Switchman Head a $40 Walmart Certificate.

July 8, Yardmaster Steve Garrett recognizes Switchman Billy Hilly for stopping a rollout of Bowl Track 27 and getting car tied down before causing any damage.

July 18, Locomotive Engineer Ken Armistead recognizes Carman Monty Rosser. He was on safety program at BOP to cook for crews on Monday July 13. He put a lot of extra time and effort into this and we appreciate it.

July 16, Larry Scott of the Signal Department recognizes Doug Knowlton and B.J. Cole. On July 16, they heard noises coming from the Master Retarder and shut down the hump. Inspection revealed a shim had slid up underneath a beam. Their action prevented a possible derailment.

July 19, An anonymous caller recognized LBP-51 crew, Conductor Gary Redding, Engineer J. N. Gibson and Brakeman C.A. Summers found two broken angle bars at Sterrett and turned them in to the dispatcher.
