Annual Railroad Day Celebration Held to Comemmorate
120th Anniversary of First Train's Arrival This year's Railroad Day Celebration was held on Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21, to commemorate the first train's arrival in Fort Worth on July 19, 1876.

This city wide event was held in the Historic Stockyards and at the Texas and Pacific Depot on the south side of Downtown.

A special concert of railroad songs was be held by Kim O'Conner and the Lucky Railroad Rangers at the White Elephant Beer Garden on Sunday, July 21.

Model railroad displays, Operation Lifesaver and safety programs, historic information, railroad memorabilia, antique and railroad vendors were displayed at both locations.

Fort Worth 1896 restored steam engine celebrated its 100th birthday with its regular runs between Stockyards Station and 8th Avenue Yards.
