Dear Editor,
Recently I took the opportunity to stop and visit the old Rock Island Depot at Waurika, Oklahoma. While looking over the old railroad correspondence, I came across some current "U.P. CROSSROADS" newsletters. They were of great interest, especially since I know quite a few employees working in the Fort Worth area.
Some of these people were old former Rock Island and Katy employees whom I worked with back in the fifties and sixties while working as Operator at Bridgeport and Chico, Texas and division safety officer during the fifties, sixties and seventies.
Also, I worked with many while serving as Manager of Train Operations at Oklahoma City and supervising the Chickasha operation.
Being retired from a Manager of Customer Service position in St. Louis, I do not get much local employee news. Your publications were enjoyed very much and I was wondering if I could impose on you to put me on the mailing list for your monthly issue.
I would certainly appreciate your consideration.
Yours truly,

PS: I spent 26 years on the Rock Island, 8 years on the MKT and 5 years on the UP. I am still service connected to the UP under the Officer Disability Program.
Editor's note: Bridgeport and the Graham Branch were my old stomping gournd - The illfated Texas Export Railroad.
