I can testify that the Republicans would not only let corporations write our legislation (as they did this year), but want to dictate not only lower wages, no benefits, more control of our retirement resources by banks, but also our cultural choices including movies, books, music, and more.
A vote for most Republicans is a vote against ourselves, no matter how much they wrap themselves up in the flag, try to scare us with the threats they alone can save us from, and promise to lower taxes and reduce government.
Those threats are more likely to come from the insurance companies who own most of the Congress. The taxes they want to lower are for those unlike us who derive their incomes from investments, and the simple fact is, that Clinton and Gore have reduced the size of government. to the levels of the 1960's.
We need to vote together, and this time it's the Democrats. We need to be registered and have timely absentee ballots.
