October 10, Engineer Cy Martin recognizes Carman Murphey Powers for stopping a roll out at 4:30 A.M. October 7. Track 8 was about to roll into Track 9.

October 9, Conductor George Henderson, LBH09-Arlington recognizes Brakeman Jim Lindsey. "We had reefer for U. S. Storage, WT 10160, cooling unit was not running and temperature was starting to rise, he worked on it, got it working, car was spotted and he advised customer.

October 11, Arlington MYO Ken Pfaff recognizes Conductor Bobby Teague, who found a boxcar, VCY 13300, with a twisted center sill and reported it to the Car Department. It would have caused a derailment.

October 17, Arlington MYO Bill David recognizes Conductor J. D. Cockran of LBH07-16. While switching General Motors Plant at 4 A.M., he noticed the Crossover between No. 2 Main the Drill Track had about 1-1/2 section of Switch point insert broken out. He reported it to Maintenance of Way Department and they changed the switch point, preventing possible derailment.
