- Pig business has been slowed by a shortage of Container Cartiages. The ramp continues to operate at maxium. Rumors of this ramp being closed continue, but this reporter fails to see how that can be done and keep up with our customer demands for service.

Old Switch Locks
James Fithian, East Yard Carman, contacted me with his Brass Switch Lock marked "FW SY". This one is a find, It's from the Fort Worth Stock Yards. James is looking for a Key. If anyone has one, we have a locksmith that will try to duplicate it.
The Trinity Valley Railroad Club's Bulletin Board newsletter picked up our article on locks and keys in the November CROSSROADS.

Ennis Business
Ennis business continue to be heavy. Space is always a problem. Operation on the Fort Worth Branch continue to be heavy with directional traffic. Auto business is normal and plastic and steel are up. Ribbon rail is now unloaded in the curves to replace that which has served us for the last twenty years.
Dan is an engineer working out of Broadway Yard.
