The holidays are behind us now for a while. They were followed by ice and snow. That was fun for a while, but I think we are all ready for our more normal 50 degree weather.
The Bowl Project is near completion and it looks like a different place. This is a renewal we really needed.
Maintenance of Way begins our cut over into the new re- organization on February 3. I think we are all ready to get things in place and move into the New Year.
Three more new trucks have arrived and are a welcome addition.
We would like to remind everyone to be careful of slips, trips and falls. These are more common in bad weather and are still one of our major injury categories.
Maintenance of Way held its annual start-up meetings on January 7, 8, and 9, at the Harvey House Hotel in Irving. Topics were (but not limited to): Payroll Expense Vouchers; Drugs and Alcohol; Policies; Forms A, B and C, for dispatchers; Safety Issues; Capital Projects for the coming year; Project Health Track; and Employee Benefits (insurance and 401Ks).
Other start-up meetings are to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada and Seattle, Washington.
Let's have the safest year of all in 1997!
