Conductor Kenneth R. Wright, 48, died at 7:30 p.m., February 9, 1997, at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Kenneth was born in Dallas on November 24, 1948. He served in the United States Marine Corp for four years. He was a Union Pacific Railroad Conductor for 19 years.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wright of Dallas; daughter, Shannon Wright of Dallas; son, Kendrick Wright of Dallas; grandson, Kalil Wright of Dallas; brothers, William C. Wright of Dallas and John L. Wright of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Marilyn Jackson, Alice Wilson and Helen Holmes of Dallas; parents, Ed and Mary Wright of Dallas; uncles, Johnny Taylor and Rev. Willie Wright of Dallas and Charlie Wright of California; aunt, Alma Wright of California; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Velma Fridia of Dallas, brothers-in-law, Matthew Gilbert, Rommie Delley and Joe Holmes of Dallas; sisters-in-law, Ester Wright of Dallas and Ann Wright of Atlanta; Godmother Clara Jones of Dallas; Godbrother Horace Moore of Dallas; Godsister Faye Jones of Dallas; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral was held Thursday, February 13, 1997 at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Dallas.
Kenneth was laid to rest at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
