Attention all crews working on the Fort Worth - McAlester side.
I received a pretty good lecture the other day from a little 4-year-old boy named Austin. He's a friend of my grandson. He lives in Keller, just north of the Wall-Price West crossing about Mile Post 741.5. There is a group of houses that set about 200 yards west of the track. Austin lives there and he watches every train that comes by, and waves his little arms like crazy.
The problem is, no one is waving back. I tried to explain that the crews can't see him, but he wouldn't buy it. "But, I can see them", he said. That's his story and he sticking to it.
So Folks, would you mind waving at the houses on the west side of the track around Mile Post 741.5. I accidently told him that waving at little boys was part of our job, and now I'm in trouble. You may not be able to see him, but there is no doubt, he can see you.
Thanks.
