Mineola T&P Railway Museum

The Texas and Pacific Railway Museum is located in the old depot, next to the tracks in downtown Mineola, Texas. The Museum Association has no dues, but subsist on memorials.

"The association meets on the first Thurday of each month at the depot at 6:30 P.M. We always have finger food. Sometimes we have as many as 40 people attending," says Jack Airhart, president of the organization.

Other Officers of the Association are:
Vice Pres., Les Trotter (Retired Personnel Officer)
Secretary, Dorothy Smith (Wife of retired railroader)
Curator, Ben Mabe (Retired Conductor)
Memorials Manager, Slim Smith (Retired Conductor)

"Our new T&P Railroad Museum is in need of several display cases in which to display small items," says Jack's wife, Geneva, "And, we really need some maniquins or dress forms on which to display the uniforms which have been donated."

Anyone having or knowing the whereabouts of any of these items they would like to sell or donate, should call Jack or Geneva Airhart at 903-569-3589.
