January 1, Yardmaster Hal Self recognizes crew of MDAFW-11, Locomotive Engineer Jimmy Gallop, Conductor S. Harle, and Brakeman G. Mabe. They reported trespassers that were breaking into cars in East Yard Track Number One. The special agent was notified and five suspects were arrested.
January 14, Locomotive Engineer Mike Siney on train DAFW-13 recognizes the drew of YFW-75, Engineer Jimmy Scibek, Trainmen Johnny Stotts and Bill Gaston. Bill found a set of wheels sliding on the rear car of the DAFE. They stopped and helped set the car out, thus prevented a possible damaging derailment.
January 14, Footboard Yardmaster Clint Morales recognizes Conductor Bill Percival who reported a rail with a two-foot piece of the ball broken out of it. They were switching autos in Track Three and prevented a costly major derailment.
