Harold Womack, 83

Harold Womack, 83, retired Locomotive Engineman, died November 22 in Fort Worth. He was born January 18, 1914 in Kopperl, Texas.

Mr. Womack had nearly 35 years seniority as an engineman when he retired. He was a veteran of World War II and had five Bronze Stars. He was among those who landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day.

Services were held 3:00 p.m. at Kimbell Cemetery in Kopperl, Texas. The Reverend Bill Gohmert officiated.

He was survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Womack of Fort Worth; sisters, Virgie Mae Meyer and Helen Marie Banks, both of Fort Worth; brothers, Alvin Womack of Charleston South Carolina and Alton Guy Womack of Kopperl, Texas; step-children, Mike Powell of Dallas and Virginia England of Irving; five step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
