A new test has been devised to see if crews are watching their train on curves will be added to testing starting soon in our area. This test may include an officer or FRA representative using a Fusee or Red Flag Stop Signal in a curve after the engine passes their location to see if the crew is watching their own train around curves.
The proper response to this test is call the Dispatcher immediately, begin to stop, using good train handling, and go back to see what the problem is.
BUT, remember, you have most probably been "delayed in the block," so act accordingly.
