Rules of the Way

By Eddie Exum

It's half way through February, and we've had no hard winter yet. El Nino seems to get the credit for a warm and wet winter. I had expected a bad winter. Wrong again! I guess it is a case where being wrong was good.

Spring will only be a couple of weeks behind this article -- Hooray!

This improved weather allowed progress to be made on our construction projects at South Ney and Big Mackie at Arlington.

-------------------

In the last month, Field Engineer Ken McCorkle and ARASA Survey Supervisor Bill Parker with a little help from me have done several surveys in Grandview and Houston for expanding tracks for better customer service and improved operations.

The first week of February, All construction and Signal personnel met in Las Vegas Nevada for our semi-annual meeting and rules testing. There were no reported millionaires on the return trip.

-------------------

I personally would like to thank our Director of Construction East Stan Hanquist and Lou Gillotti for their coordination efforts.

Mr. Jerry Rugg's question and answer portion was very informative. Thank you from us participants.

Spring Fever is just around the corner. Let's watch those mental lapses and be safe.
