
Spring thunderstorms followed by subfreezing temperatures -- the peach trees are in bloom again. It must be Texas
The weather has allowed us to make some headway on local construction projects. By mid-summer, I expect they will be completed. Steve Martchenke and others have managed to get Lowden Street closed at the end of our work at the south end of Ney Yard.
To get this closure, Union Pacific has built a connecting road between Lowden and Bowie Street, complete with curbs on the west side of the tracks.
If we have track availability, Charles Cutrer's personnel will install the South End of Ney Yard and Fort Worth Sub's new Main Line Number-20 turnout during the week of second week of March.
On March 9, I ventured over to Mesquite. The activity level there continues to pick up again.
