Henry Alvarado, 47, is a Manager of Terminal Operations in the Fort Worth Command Center. His first assignment here was as a Manager of Yard Operations at BOP in December of 1994. He had previously been an MYO in Kansas City.

His first railroad job was in 1974 as a "cartoad apprentice" on the Houston Belt and Terminal Railroad. He was cut off and went to work in engine service on the MP at Freeport and later at Taylor, Texas. He then went to work on the Georgetown Railroad in engine service.

In 1984, he went to work for the old Texas and Pacific as a SYO and later as a ATM at Shrevesport, Louisiana. He was later made MTO in North Little Rock.

Henry and his wife Angie have a son, Henry Jr, and a daughter, Monica, who are college students. Another son, Wesley is junior high school.

Henry's hometown is San Antonio. Henry says, "My life's ambition has always been to be the best the best I can be."
