Selestino Munoz Carrisales, 87, a laborer for the railroad, passed away Saturday, March 28, 1998, in Fort Worth.
Funeral was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Fort Worth with burial at Greenwood Memorial Park. Rosary: 7 p.m. Monday at Greenwood funeral home.
Selestino Munoz Carrisales was born April 6, 1909, in Mexico. He retired as a Union Pacific railroader after 30 years of service. He moved to the Fort Worth area in 1930 along with his family.
He was the oldest of five brothers and four sisters. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Tony Lopez.
Survivors: Wife of 64 years, Stella R. Carrisales of Fort Worth; sons, Selestino Carrisales Jr. and his wife, Helen of Fort Worth and Cecelio Carrisales and his wife, Rachel of Fort Worth; daughter, Gloria C. Lopez of Fort Worth; brother, Ignacio "Nacho" Carrisales of Fort Worth; sister, Betty Sotelo of Fort Worth; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
