Leland Terrell Livingston, 65, a Carman for Union Pacific Railroad who retired in 1995 after 46 years of service, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Leland Livingston was born June 13, 1932, in Johnson County. He was the Texas State Legislative Director of Transportation, Communications International Union, was a member of the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees Inc., UAW Local No. 848, AFL-CIO, Ridglea Presbyterian Church, Ridglea Lodge No. 1342, AF&AM, Scottish Rite Consistory, Moslah Shrine, representative of the Celtic Heritages, Chieftain (1995-96) of the Scottish Clan of North Texas, and was involved in numerous union organizations for the benefit of the working class.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors: Wife, Elise Livingston of Fort Worth; sons, Leland T. Livingston Jr. of Godley and Stanley Livingston of Fort Worth; brother, Royce Livingston of Boulder, Colo.; grandchildren, Suzanne Hammersley of Arlington and Sheila Livingston of Fort Worth; and great-grandchildren, Cilissia Livingston of Fort Worth and Andrew Grant Hammersley of Arlington.
