Thomas Earl Jacobs Sr., 83, a retired employee of Texas and Pacific Railroad, died Sunday, May 10, 1998, at home.
His Funeral wqas held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Cathedral Parish, with burial in Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Jacobs was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Fort Worth. He was the son of the late Ned and Effie Jacobs. He attended Fort Worth public schools and was a member of St. Patrick Cathedral Parish and Choir. He was a member of E.L. Young American Legion Post Unit No. 838 and a veteran of the Navy in World War II.
Thomas and Marjorie enjoyed 60 years of married life.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Jacobs of Fort Worth; sons, Thomas Earl Jacobs Jr. and daughter-in-law, Juanita Jacobs of Fort Worth; daughter, Karen Baker, Ethel L. Marshall and son- in-law, Steven Marshall, all of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; one stepgrandson; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
