
Russel Stone started his railroad career, April 23, 1973 as a Katy Mud Hop in Dallas, Texas.. He worked for eight years as a clerk and as chief clerk of sales for two years, and as Relief Yardmaster. He was an Account Manager from 1983 to 1988 on the Katy.
When the UP and the Katy merged, he went to St. Louis and the NCSC for two years as manager over the North Texas territory. In 1991, he was sent to Beaumont as an MYO for five years.
In 1996, he went to Omaha and worked in the Harriman Center as a Resource Manager. After two years at the Harriman, he came to Fort Worth as an MYO in the Bowl Yard.
Russel and his wife Bobbie and have two daughters, Kristi, 24 and Kerrie 21. "I like playing golf, horse races, and wood work," he says, "I Plan on being here at Fort Worth until I retire."
