Miller and Ennis continues to operate without injury. We're over two years on both these location without any injuries. Good Work.

Auto business for Midlothian continues to be very heavy. Miller and Ennis are running fairly smoothly thanks to MTO Mark Luman's efforts to keep the limited space at Ennis free. This is reported by Foot Board Yardmaster Molales at Ennis.

Trains continue to be detoured through Miller in an effort to find the best and fastest routes in an effort to help the overall congestion problem.

It is reported that the New MOP at Miller will be Scrappy Bigham. Scrappy will be returning to Dallas after a number of years in Alpine. He has not be released at Alpine as of this date, but will be in the near future.

We have several new switchmen just released for regular service at Miller yard. Please give these folks your help when needed. Remember, we weren't old heads either. My advice to the new people is, "don't do anything before you really think what your about to do. If your unsure, ask for help. Remember the one safety rule that really counts." When in doubt, take the safe course."

Carman Bob Fudge retired with 42 years without an injury. A party was held at the yard office on Friday June 12.

Switchman Bill Tinker was presented a retirement watch at his home on June 15th.

Engineer G.K. Head is now officially retiring, details will be included in the July issue.

Mechanical and Car Department in the Dallas area has now been relocated to Miller Yard and is up and running well. These Departments continue without injury reports General Foreman Roger Ginnett.

Ney Yard office is about 75% remodeled. The new crew room is operational and the new computer terminals are in place. The expanded parking lot is not yet complete.

By the way, that Conductor D.C. Martin out at Carrollton is Cy Martin's son, borrowed out from Longview.
