Retired Switchman

Raymond R. Bell, 76, a retired railroad switchman, died Friday, June 26, 1998, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers: Burk Rosenthal, Steve Bell, John Ware, Bryan Strittmatter, Paul Bell, Jeff Krippel, Jeff Coffey, Robin Rosenthal and Missy Krippel. Honorary Pallbearers: All co-workers from the M.K.T. Railroad. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials: Alzheimer's Association.

Raymond R. Bell was born Dec. 1, 1921, in Polk County, Ark. He was a World War II veteran and worked for Katy Railroad 35 years. He was a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church. Raymond was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He was a resident of Fort Worth 70 years.

Survivors: Wife of 56 years, Peggy Walsh Bell of Fort Worth; son, Ray Bell and his wife, Vicki, of Crowley; daughters, Helen Rosenthal and her husband, Bill, of Fort Worth, Kathy Ware and her husband, Jim, of Fort Worth, and Barbara Bell and Dayson Goetz of Weatherford; three brothers; two sisters; seven grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; and nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
