Miller Continues to handle overflow from Ft. Worth. Miller Ramp continues it's excellent on time record for loading and unloading, but is still experiencing Power Shortage Problems. The Ramp continues to ask for "Power" for the regular scheduled Pig Trains and the "Power" doesn't seems to be available.
The Remodeling at Ney Yard Office is about finished. The Parking Lot is well under way. The New Main Line By Pass at Ney Yard Should now be open. Leaving "Tower 55" you go south up the old ATSF Main Line to Allen Street. There you will continue south on the old SP main line west of Ney Yard behind the grain elevators and back into the UP main south of Berry Street. This reroute was accomplished by swapping main lines between the SP Broadway Yard and the ATSF South bound main line. This new Route around Ney Yard should help relieve the congestion. Power Switches are in place for movements to these new tracks along with a power switch at the old SP Ft. Worth Branch switch.
Dan is an engineer working out of Miller - Broadway - Ney Yard.
