We took that vacation involving sand and salt water. We spent five days in the Gulport-Biloxi Area. We enjoyed the relaxation.
The drought continues - enough said.
Project Work: Mesquite: Work is progressing on completion of the new itermodal tracks Number One and Two. We are about a week behind projection, but will start on Tracks Three and Four as soon as One and Two are open.
South Ney: The rail gang working south of Wren on the Fort Worth Subdivision relayed the new Number Three Track (Mainline) at Ney during the first week in July. During the second week, ballast was unloaded on Tracks One and Two. Signal programs are nearing completion in Ney. New crossovers are to be installed soon.
Arlington: No gangs available for work there. It would be nice to have that runaround open by the time the General Motors Plant gets into full fall production.
This month, I have beern with Construction East for a year. I am glad to be here. Thanks to Stan Hanquist and Larry Chamberlain.
Summer Heat Continues. I think another vacation would be a great idea! Maybe I'll be gone again when you read this.
