Dana and Matt's Garage - The Story So Far

As you can see, the roof is finished, the windows and doors are all in, and siding is partly done on the first floor. That trailer belongs to the french drain guys that are finishing up. The drain goes around the back two sides of the garage. As our yard is an old creekbed, it seemed prudent to do this, and it had to be installed before the rest of the yard can be graded. The entryway doors match. I was able to find two metal entry doors with decorative windows at Seconds and Surplus. That type of door is hard to find, especially at a reasonable price.

On the left of the driveway that brownish stuff is the crushed granite that goes on top of the french drain. The two long windows in the front will eventually have stained glass panels. the the garden window can grow some small plants.
Again you can see a bit of the brownish crushed granite on the right of the garage. This is where the french drain starts. You can see a little of the detail of the window in the doors. Once the pad is laid so the mud doesn't splash up it will look nice and white and pretty.
View from under the neighbor's tree. The stairs and grading of the yard should start soon. The drain will be finished and the rest of the siding can be put up. I guess they have to finish the siding before they can do the stairs and the yard.
