Biological treatment of industrial wastewater and hazardous waste.
We have a tremendous amount of practical experience in the areas of biological treatment and bioremediation of all varieties of industrial effluent (wastewater and air emissions), groundwater, soils and sediments. We can pre-treat or remediate your wastes as well as keep you in compliance with the applicable regulations (to see our regulatory page click here). And, we have applied this knowledge in legal matters, serving attorneys throughout the United States. We have air and wastewater treatment experience throughout the USA, and International experience in China (PRC), Taiwan (ROC), Canada, etc. We have had considerable success with treating difficult and hazardous wastes that have to be reduced to very low levels prior to discharge. We also have extensive experience in blackwater and graywater applications. A fixed-film, packed-bed reactor is the most efficient and trouble-free system for the treatment of hazardous waste and is our specialty. A sampling of the wastewater and/or
groundwater projects, and pollutants we have successfully treated are:
-AND- We have extensive experience in applying the use of fixed film reactors for the treatment of industrial hazardous wastes. Please refer to Chapter 2 in "Biological Treatment of Hazardous Wastes", edited by Lewandowski and DeFilippi. We can also perform engineering calculations relating to all aspects of your wastewater treatment needs.
Solids We have also helped customers to remove solids (in the form of TSS, total suspended solids, as well as large BOD-containing particles) from their waste streams, and with strategies of designing their system to avoid the introduction of solids to begin with. Microbial ecology and your wastewater treatment plant An in-depth understanding of microbial ecology is important for designing and operating wastewater-treatment facilities. Let us help you keep the microbial occupants (example at left) of your system working in the most efficient, and upset-resistant mode possible. Waste minimization We feel we are most successful when you are able to minimize waste to such an extent that little or no treatment is required. Energy efficiency is also a goal of ours. Give us a phone call and find out where we can help! See our section on solubility for help in determining how much of a particular compound may be able to dissolve in your aqueous waste stream:. solubility.htm
