Program: "THE COMPLETION OF THE NORTH CENTRAL
EXPRESSWAY"
The time has finally come! Various speakers at the Branch Meetings have periodically
discussed plans and progress involving the expansion of the North Central Expressway over
the last several years and now it is time to put together the punch list and perform a
final walk through. All of the time and effort expended on this mammoth project will
culminate in a grand opening parade for the Dallas’ newest highway on Sunday December
5, 1999. The Branch will present a commemorative plaque to TxDOT at the opening ceremony.
ASCE Members will continue the celebration the following day at our December Meeting with
a presentation from Mr. Jim Hunt, P.E. , an individual who has been an integral part of
the project from its beginning. See more information on the opening parade.

| Please join us for the annual "Holiday Gathering" after
the Luncheon The Branch has planned a festive gathering after the December Luncheon to allow the Members to enjoy the holiday spirit and have an opportunity to visit with each other. We plan to end lunch early and allow time for Members to mingle between 12:45 and 1:30 PM and have desert. We hope to see you there! With completion of the North Central Expressway, the Branch will recognize all Branch Members who have contributed to planning, design, construction and administration of this significant project at the December Meeting.
