Gene Vincent and His Blue
Caps: This recently compiled Gene Vincent release is the first collection of "new", 1950s-era Vincent recordings to appear since his death in 1971, and also possibly the last. Careful research and detective work by Dragon Street Records of Dallas has unearthed previously unreleased studio tracks, home demos, acetates and even classic live recordings of Gene and his legendary Blue Caps appearing at the famous Big "D" Jamboree at the Dallas Sportatorium in 1958, which more than doubles the known live Vincent recordings to date! |
