Great American Duck Race, August 26, 2000

Troop 285 was glad to provide service in the Great American Duck Race, sponsored by the Albuquerque Rotary Club on August 26, 2000. Like previous years, we herded ducks down the river, chased them into the finish area, provided parking and logistics support during and after the race, and just had fun. Of course, the ducks are rubber and the river was hot, but that's to be expected. Troop 285 enjoyed having been part of this fund raiser, which benefits remedial reading programs throughout Albuquerque.
