Troop 285 - Heads Up! Here's The Latest News

Here's late breaking news of interest to the Troop, from the week of January 20th, 2003.
Klondike Camp was held on Mount Taylor near Grants on January 17th-19th. About 20 Scouts enjoyed temperatures down to about 10 degrees F. at night, but good sledding on Saturday! Thanks go to the Campmaster, Jay M. and his able Grannie assistant, Mr. Dave Heine!
Four Webelos Scouts from Pack 416 visited on Monday: Zack, Kevin, Damian, and LaSalle! Welcome, guys!
February 2nd will be Scout Sunday, with the general theme being 50 Years for Troop 285! Display topics were assigned to each patrol, and patrols may set up their displays from 8 to 9AM on Sunday, Feb 2nd.
Alex M earned Scout Rank, and Cole V. earned Star! Way to go, guys!
Camping, citizenship in the nation, and snow sports merit badge instructions were held. Basic Skills worked on the Heimlich maneuver and signs of a heart attack, as well as checking out a Scout's first aid kit.
