The Troop is very sad to hear that Mr. Johnny Lewis, Assistant Scoutmaster, is in Presbyterian Hospital recovering from back surgery for a slipped disk. We signed a card, we've sent flowers, and we continue to hope for a speedy and complete recovery!
We will meet next Monday (10th) at Apache Elementary School, at 12800 Copper NE (east of Juan Tabo)! Mr. Prentice will have wildlife conservation topics to discuss, videos to show, and we will tour Nick H's Eagle Project efforts! See you at 7PM.
Popcorn distribution was completed during the meeting. All money for popcorn is due by the November 15th meeting! Please make an extra effort to get all your popcorn orders delivered and paid for by then!
Phillip G. earned Second Class rank! Alright, Phillip!
A service project for Sombra Del Monte Church will be held on Saturday, November 15th. There are morning (7:30 to noon) and afternoon (noon to about 5:30) shifts available. We will assist with ticket taking, merchandize carrying, food serving, cleanup and other tasks to help the Craft Show succeed. See Phillip B. for details and to sign up.
The Scorpions presented a great instruction on how the Color Guard operates and the details of our flag ceremony. Wolverines will present the next Troop instruction on November 15th.
Camping, Citizenship in the World, Woodcarving, and Coin Collecting merit badges were taught this week. Basic Skills Scouts worked on bandaging for sprained ankles, and head and arm injuries.
