Troop 285 - Heads Up! Here's The Latest News

Here's late breaking news of interest to the Troop, from the week of January 12th, 2004.



Troop Color Guard will be serving at the Scorpions' game on Friday and Saturday night this weekend.
Signups for the Grand Gulch 50 Miler Afoot and the Green River 50 Miler Afloat are bring taken. Prep hikes for the Grand Gulch will start soon.
Packing equipment for Klondike is Thursday at 5:30 PM, and we depart for Mt Taylor at 7 AM Saturday.
Merit badges taught during the meeting: Snow Sports, Communication, Coin Collecting, Climbing, Wilderness Survival, Family Life, Emergency Preparedness, and Archery. Basic skills worked on the buddy system in Scouting.
The "Klondike" campout will be Jan 17 and 18th (note - we will leave early Saturday morning) on Mount Taylor. Keep asking for snow - but it looks very sparse now. Notes were sent home to collect signups and camp fees next Monday. Clint C. will be the Campmaster.
The Council Banquet is coming up on February 7th. Mr. Wayne Prentice will be receiving his Silver Beaver award, and all interested are encouraged to attend.
Committee Meeting is 7PM Tuesday at the Church, and TLC is at 5:47PM on Monday (Martin Luther King Jr Day).

Scout Sunday is February 1st. See Mr. Mondick or Mr. Lewis with ideas for your patrol's display about 50 Years of Troop 285!
The Granny Buritto Breakfast and Blood Drive will be February 8th.
The Scouting For Food Drive will be held on February 7th (pass out flyers) and 14th (pick up food).
