Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge - November '99 Campout

The 1999 Bosque del Apache campout was held at the Bosque Wildlife Refuge near San Antonio, New Mexico, on November 19-21.

Almost 140 Scouts, Weblos, grannies and parents attended the Bosque Del Apache campout. We had a great time, and for November, great weather (days up to the 70's)! The highlights of the campout were a tour of the Very Large Array of radio telescopes on the Plains of San Augustine, the New Mexico Tech Waldo educational underground mine at Magdelena, and the great pit barbeque of prime rib and turkey on Saturday night.

Thanks have to go to the Campmaster Robert T., and grannie Assistant Vic Segura. Great work, guys!

Here's a photo gallery of some of the highlights of the camp! Click on a photo for the enlarged version.
