The Spring Court of Honor for Troop 285 was held on June 7th, 1999, at Sombra Del Monte Christian Church. Assistant SPL Rocky J. presided.

Part of our Advancement Committee, perhaps the hardest working Scouters in the Troop, ready to hand out awards - from the left, Mrs. Sally Olesnevich, Mrs. Rita Maguire, and Troop Committee Chair Mr. Bob Maguire.
The highlight of the evening - Mr. Ernie Bolton, first Scoutmaster of Troop 285, received his 50 year service to Scouting pin (and a new Troop 285 hat)! With him are Mr. Bob Maguire and Mr. Rick Mondick, our current Scoutmaster and Mr. Bolton's son-in-law.

Mr. Jerry Stratton recently completed a week-long Aquatics Training class in Colorado, and was recognized as the Troop's Aquatics Safety Director for the next three years with his own personal set of WATER WINGS!
